Saturday was one of the most inspirational days of football I have ever been apart of. Every single kid that plays football in the city of Oxford got to scrimmage on the varsity field. 7 year olds started the day at about 1 o'clock and the varsity team finished the night of at around 9:30. It brought me right back to my pee-wee football days when I saw the kid with his knee pads in backwards, a massive crossbar facemasks, and neither shoe tied. Sometimes we might take football for granted. Everyone as well as myself is guilty of just trying to "make it through" a rought practice or two. God has given each our own individual abilities that we need to "max out". If we don't do our best, not only are we bringing the team down, but we're trying to bring God down. God won't be put down, I truly believe he will take you ability and give it to someone else that will " max it out". Good luck to everyone who is starting another year of football this weekend.
In Christ,
Kyle O'Dell
