--LEFLORE 114, FAITH ACADEMY 59: Demarcus Cousins scored 33 points and Marlon Ford and Darryl Woods each added 14 as the state's top-ranked 5A team won the Area 1 title. Michael Pierce led Faith Academy with 13 points and Sidney Madise added 10. LeFlore (26-2) will host either Spanish Fort or Vigor at 7 p.m. Friday.
--VIGOR 69, SPANISH FORT 45: Most Valuable Player Montrel Horne had a game-high 18 points and 10 rebounds while Jeremy Lewis added 11 as Vigor beat Spanish Fort at home to capture the 5A Area 2 championship.
Vigor (12-12) will now host Faith Academy in a sub-regional game on Friday, while the Toros visit LeFlore.
"My guys played well," Vigor coach Arthur Haynes said. "I'm proud of them, they did a good job tonight."
Spanish Fort (10-13) was led offensively by Alex Grant and Garrett Schumacher with 12 points each.
